Large Reservoir Construction

A dam is usually constructed across a river to create a reservoir in the valley behind by storing the water that flows into it naturally. Sometimes, they are built across dry valleys, or valleys with small streams, to create a storage area for water that is transported from elsewhere.
This is a typical sequence of events for constructing a dam and creating a reservoir:
- Diverting the river
- Preparing the foundation for the dam
- Building the dam (Concrete dam & Embankment dam)

- Testing that valves and floodgates work

Water-management systems of which storage and flood-control reservoirs form an important part, greatly change the natural flow regime of streams as well as the properties of the water. Water-management systems with reservoirs can be relatively simple if they have, for example, one reservoir and several users; or compound if they have several reservoirs and many users; or if they have several purposes.

For more than 20 years, Sumisansui Mark II has been the best irrigation tube for oil palm nurseries, commended by planters for consistent good quality and performance.
Many papers attesting its suitability have been written.
Only with Sumitomo technology can very fine holes ( 0.15 – 0.3mm ) be made with special laser. The resulting even mist sprays throughout 100m at low pressure lowers operating costs.
Its novel two piece construction, by heat sealing (Sumitomo technology) creates strength and balance due to its “wings” and lay flat when not operating.
Sprinkler Irrigation System

Sprinkler irrigation system allows application of water under high pressure with the help of a pump. It releases water similar to rainfall through a small diameter nozzle placed in the pipes. Water is distributed through a system of pipes, sprayed into air and irrigates in most of the soil type due to wide range of discharge capacity.
